We picked him up from the airport this afternoon. He was a little tired, yet pumped from his past week’s adventure!

Last Friday night we saw him off at the airport and his adventures began…img_6445

James took lots of wonderful pictures and I can’t wait to see them all. Here are some of the pics he shared while he was away, just to stay in touch and I’ll share them with you because they are fantastic!

One of the joys of travel is meeting new people. James and a new friend enjoy exploring CHAOUEN.img_6645

RABAT, MOROCCO

I’m so happy he had a wonderful vacation. I am so thankful he is home safe!!! I think it’s wonderful that he takes AWESOME photos that I can enjoy with him. I love the fact that adventure runs in our family and that we share this love of travel. And…I am thankful and excited that in a few more days my husband & I will be off on our own adventure!!!

We enjoyed hearing a few stories on the drive home and over a late lunch/early dinner ( James was starving)

And James, being the thoughtful son he is brought back his Dad some Moroccan Dirham and me a keepsake from “the blue city” Chefchaouen …a beautiful little rug ( I’ll use it as a table runner) made by the Berber people. The symbols on it are Berber symbols. And some beautiful soap with mint, a very popular scent there.

Thank you so much James, it’s wonderful to have you home!!

Adventure For Two

I am from Bridgewater, Nova Scotia, Canada and I'm back from traveling with my husband on an expat assignment to foreign lands. 2011-2012 we were in Shenyang, China. Spring 2012- Spring 2013 we were in Resende,RJ Brazil then back to Shenyang, China in July 2013 until the end of July 2014. Expat life WAS amazing! Adventure abounds no matter where we travel to. We really enjoyed the amazing opportunity to live and experience culture and tradition in these places. BUT now we are finished and adjusting to life in our small town in Canada. Our days of travel and adventure are not over.

  1. I’m a little late to this post- but how exciting that you got to see James!!!! And holy maloly- these pictures are INCREDIBLE! He has got an eye for photography! I felt like I got the grand tour of London! Thank you for sharing- and thank you to James for taking these awesome pictures!

    1. He takes amazing pictures and this time he did a few videos. I really need to do a post and put up the links for them. The videos are even better than the pictures. James amazes me with his ability. All self taught. He follows the work of Trey Ratcliff ( AMAZING photographer)

While we were cruising James bought a drone and made a few videos with that too. Technology is so wonderful. Just yesterday our province released a new set of rules for drone users that is gonna put major restriction on anyone wanting to use a drone. James is frustrated that his new hobby just get squashed. He’s probably gonna send the drone back because the new rules are so restricting!!.

      1. Ohhhhh I would LOVE to see those videos! Let me know when/if you post them so I don’t miss it!! And that truly is amazing that he was self taught- there is so much to it! And I can’t believe that about the drones! I’m still trying to wrap my head around the fact that they exist so him using it for taking pictures blows my mind. Bummer that they are pulling back the reigns though- hopefully they will come up with some kind of compromise for my personal use soon!!!!!!
