It’s that time of year in Brazil!

It’s Carnaval! It falls on February 24-28 this year. It is the biggest celebration of the year in Brazil. We had so much fun experiencing this when we lived there, and just to break up the wintery snow month of February and help me think about warm, sun and beaches…I just had to break out my Havaianas ( have to pack them for my cruise next week anyway)

AND for dinner tonight I just had to make some delicious Brazilian food … shrimp with heart of palm and rice topped with toasted almonds and lime…lime pie and coffee… and caipirinha’s of course!

Have a great Carnaval our dear Brazilian friends!

And maybe I will watch Rio…love that movie and the music.
This may be a very long (and random) comment…. So I apologize in advance haha… but Schubenacadie Sam?!? I have never heard of him, but what a fun name to say!!!! Your Super Bowl party food looked like football game perfection! I always take so much vitamin D and C in the winter too. SF has had a horrible winter. There are terrible flooding/mudslides here! I can’t get over how much snow you all have there though!
Woah! Your valentines day looked SO darling! I didn’t even know there was a flag day (whoops), I’m always learning something new everyday! Those cupcakes are adorable!
On a more serious note, I’m so sorry about your Uncle. I’m sure that you gave the most beautiful Eulogy and you honor him so beautifully in these posts!
I am so jealous that James gets to go to London!!!! AHH! How exciting. I see he got that “travel gene” too! Annnd until I can actually see the Great Wall I want to see the movie! I love how culture packed all your posts are! From the Nova Scotia day to Brazil’s Carnaval (that pie!)—- I LOVEEE how much I’m learning! Thank you for sharing all this. I just love your zest for life, Anna. You inspire me! Ok- I’m done blowing up your notifications (for now) hehe. Have a beautiful weekend ☺

Oh MacKenzie, I appreciate your sweet comments. Especially in the winter I like to find something fun and special to do everyday/week. If you and DJ are ever on the east coast you should take a venture up to Nova Scotia. There are so many cool name places here. They just roll off your tongue and many people have a hard time pronouncing them. It’s been a fun packed yet tough month with my Uncle’s death. My Auntie is doing great though, such a strong woman. I can learn so much!!! Oh and James…ya that boy LOVES to travel!!! You should see his pics. I think I will actually share a few this weekend because I have some new spots to add to my bucket list. So many places to see 😛
