Ahh…last night there was a beautiful December full moon! Here is a picture that Terry Conrad took and our local weather broadcaster shared of the full moon over Lunenburg, Nova Scotia last night. I love it!
A crisp cool moon reflecting on clean white snow and shining over the harbour.
On a little side note. Do you know what I noticed about Facebook while I was in China?
Take a look…
And here in Canada
Notice the difference?
I thought it was pretty cool!!!
Have a good night!
Adventure For Two
I am from Bridgewater, Nova Scotia, Canada and I'm back from traveling with my husband on an expat assignment to foreign lands. 2011-2012 we were in Shenyang, China. Spring 2012- Spring 2013 we were in Resende,RJ Brazil then back to Shenyang, China in July 2013 until the end of July 2014. Expat life WAS amazing! Adventure abounds no matter where we travel to. We really enjoyed the amazing opportunity to live and experience culture and tradition in these places. BUT now we are finished and adjusting to life in our small town in Canada. Our days of travel and adventure are not over.

I just got all caught up on your posts ☺ It looked like the last stretch of your trip was amazing. Also- that rice congee looks so good! I picture it to be like a cream of mushroom a bit? You look so cute in that hat!!! How do things work with shopping there? Is it cheaper than in the US or more expensive based on the currency exchange? When I went to India I loooooved the long flights! I loved all the authentic Indian meals on the way too. It looks like you were able to sleep a good chunk of those 12 hours ☺ Happy baking!!!!! It also sounds like you have your hands full. I don’t know how you do it all, Wonder Woman!!!! That moon is absolutely beautiful too. LOVEEE reading your travels. Have a great rest of your day, and I hope you can catch up on some good sleep! I’m about to lose a few hours myself!!! ❤
The whole trip was AMAZING!! Just not long enough. The congee is more like a pureed rice pudding, quite bland for the most part but I like it after such a crazy long ( no sleep) flight. It’s better than the eggs, potatoes and white sausage. In the markets there is a lot of bargaining and you never pay the original price. Things are definitely cheaper, especially with the US dollar ( a little bit more for Canada) but still so much cheaper. I would love to go to India someday…Indian food is delish, but then I am a foodie and love everything. My baking is complete! Hope your travel goes well…have so much fun with your family!!
