April 1

Just a little Chinese funny πŸ˜€

No Foolin’…It’s time for a haircut!!!!

My little Abby girl looks like a little wookie. She is a big ball of fur.

I think this is the longest she’s gone without a hair cut. Usually it is about every 8 weeks or so just to keep her neat and trim. Her last appointment was during such a crazy time for our family back in February so when I tried to reschedule between my schedule and the groomer’s schedule we opted just to wait until her next appointment. I book her appointments a year in advance just to make things easy.

Today…our fluffy puppy got her hair done!

Now that it’s April, the weather needs to warm up, NO MORE SNOW, and Spring can come…SERIOUSLY!

HOT off the grill!!

It’s Burger Week in Halifax!

WHAT’S BURGER WEEK ALL ABOUT YOU ASK?

Halifax’s Annual Burger Week is a city wide burger-eating celebration and fundraiser for Feed Nova Scotia. This year, over 95 restaurants will create unique burger specials for one week only, March 23-29th. Burgers will be either have a set price of $6 OR a higher price with a portion being donated by the restaurant to Feed Nova Scotia. Halifax Burger Week was started in 2013 by Coast Publishing, publisher of The Coast and Food andΒ Drink City Guides.

So…because we are in the city today to do a few errands…

Oh ya, we just HAD to have BURGERS!!!! How to choose? The menu of burgers is so mouth watering…oh yum!!!

But alas, we are only having one…

The Fickle Frog Pub sounded fun and their burger sounded delish!

Introducing the Dribble Drool Burger.

A rustic bun, a 6oz homestyle all beef patty, dijonnaise sauce, guacamole, fresh jalapeΓ±os, topped with lettuce, tomato and a dill pickle…a little spicy with a little sweet ❀

And David added a side of home cut fries to his burger…

All I can say is, It’s a good thing I don’t live in the city!!!

Oh how I miss…

blossoms in the Spring!!!!

It is so lovely sitting in my living room this afternoon. It truly feels like Spring until you see the snow outside… BUT I do know that the sun is melting it quickly.

Springtime is my absolute FAVOURITE of all seasons!! But, then as each season rolls around I probably say that about each one BUT TRULY, Springtime is a season of freshness and newness of life. Babies are being born,

Here is a pic of a friend’s new baby. How sweet!!

…buds are opening up and ohhhh…the blossoms! The pink blossoms of fruit trees! I absolutely LOVE this time of year.

PLEASE!!! I want to hop on a plane and head to Vancouver, Washington, DC or Beijing!!!! There are pictures popping up on my newsfeed and memories of a Shenyang Spring walking in the park.

Here are some pics that have been popping up of blossoms in the last few days…

Victoria, Canada

Washington, DC

Beijing, China

Ahh…I LOVE them!!!! It takes me back …

Just my sweet remembrance. Hope you’re all having a great week!

It’s ChΕ«n fΔ“n

or the first day of Spring!

Love EVERYTHING about Spring! However we are still getting the COLD here in eastern Canada…

Too far I think because we got MORE snow!!!!!!! ugh….

Believe it or not, today is theΒ First Day of Spring!! You really wouldn’t think so after last night and this morning, here in Nova Scotia.
Now is a great time to start feeding the birds. There have been lots of robins on my lawn. They’re now making their way back to Canada and a feeder is a useful source of food for them on their journey. During this time of the year, birds are able to rapidly gain weight so they have enough energy to fly the far distances required.

Happy 1st Day of Spring! ( ps I put ALL my snowmen decor away so please no more SNOW)

RELAX today!

David & I are sick. We have terrible colds!! Mine is really affecting my sinuses causing me to be so dizzy, and David is congested and coughing and coughing. We are so tired and are not sleeping. Ugh…guess that’s what happens when you go from hot and sunny to freezing and SNOW!!

Yes, more snow!!!! Snow this past week and more snow today!!!

So…we are cozy inside RELAXING and chatting about Spring and Summer ideas.

Can’t believe tomorrow is the first day of Spring. Yikes!

Here’s to MORE snow!!! NOT!

A new hobby…short lived…

When we were on our cruise vacation, our son James tried out a new hobby!

And here is how he made use of this new hobby!

A great way to showcase theΒ newest addition to our small town Bridgewater.

And a view of the Dingle Tower in Halifax

BUT…SADLY…NOW due to new drone regulations implemented Β March 16, 2017…it will not be possible to do any more of these type of videos.!

Oh well, thanks James. Your videos are great and it was nice while it lasted!!

Happy GREEN Day! πŸ’šβ˜˜πŸ’šβ˜˜

Cheers! Happy St. Patrick’s Day! ( Starting the morningΒ with a green smoothie lol)

Do you know how St. Patrick’s Day came to be?

It all started in the 400s with Patrick, an Irish priest. After his death on March 17, 461, he was celebrated as a saint in the church. St. Patrick’s Day as we know it, was brought to North America by Irish immigrants in the 1840s following the potato famine. They turned the day into a celebration of their home country.

St. Patrick’s Day occurs annually on March 17 in observance of the death of St. Patrick, the patron saint of Ireland. What began as a religious feast day in the 17th century has evolved into a variety of festivals across the globe celebrating Irish culture with parades, special foods, music, dancing…and a whole lot of green.Β πŸ’š

And now for the green…

Green clothes

Green dog…well just a shamrock scarf around her neck

Green snap chat and bitmojis

Can you tell I have too much time on my hands today…lol

AND…of course GREEN FOOD!!! ( no Irish stew and green beer haha)

Wishing you a great weekend!Β πŸ’š
